The Benefit Golf Classic is an annual golf tournament and luncheon championed by volunteers of IBEW Local 125, Pacificorp, PGE, and NW Natural to benefit the Oregon Burn Center at Legacy Emanual Hospital & Health Center.
Oregon Burn Center at Legacy Emanuel Hospital & Heath Center
As the only facility of its kind between Seattle and Sacramento, the Oregon Burn Center at Legacy Emanual Hospital treated over 400 burn
survivors from across Oregon and Southwest Washington last year. A high percentage of patients cared for at the Burn Center are from our community and have been seriously burned on the job. Your contribution to the Burn Center will help the burn team prevent burns through education and outreach, as well as train medical staff in burn treatment to minimize injury for each burn survivor.
Our goal is to save one person from the devastation of serious burns, and with your help, we can achieve it.
The 10th annual tournament will once again be held at Indian Creek Golf Course in Hood River, Oregon. Thanks to the generosity we received from you and our sponsors, the 2006 Benefit Golf Classic golf tournament raised $51,250, bringing the total to over $550,000.
Our goal once again this year is to raise another $50,000 which will support the critical work the Oregon Burn Center does. Please remember that 100% of all dollars donated go directly to the Burn Center.

In its history, the Classic has raised over $600,000 in support of the Burn Center and the Burn Education and Prevention Program. All sponsors and participants can be proud of their accomplishments.

For over 30 years, the Oregon Burn Center has been the only facility of its kind providing the extraordinary care required by burn victims in Oregon and Southern Washington. The Oregon Burn Center is a leader and innovator in the Northwest, and the Benefit Golf Classic team tips their hat to them and their accomplishments.
Approximately 40 percent of patients are unable to pay for their care, but no one is turned away from the Burn Center based on their ability to pay.
This is why the Benefit Golf Classic has and will succeed in our annual golf tournament for years to come. Thanks to all of your generous donations in time and money, we can pass that success on to the Oregon Burn Center.
